At Galleria of Smiles, we treat patients at all ages and stages of dental care. So, the odds are good you’re already headed our way for a dental appointment. Why add an extra stop to your day, an extra doctor to your list, when we can treat you for orthodontics, too?
When your family dental office already knows your family and your teeth, it makes them the easy choice for your braces.
Braces Options At Galleria Of Smiles
Invisalign® braces could be the best braces for you if you’re interested in a discreet, removable option. Patients who have a high-visibility career, are very active in sports, or play a musical instrument will appreciate that you can remove your clear Invisalign aligners when needed. Invisalign is also available as a short-term orthodontic treatment. To better show you what is possible for your smile through Invisalign, our dentists have received training using the Invisalign Outcome Simulator.
Six Month Smiles® is another short-term orthodontic option. If your need for braces is more about the look of your teeth than your bite, Six Month Smiles can quickly move your teeth into position. There’s no “metal mouth” with this option, as the wire and clear brackets are designed to blend in with your teeth.
NeoCrystal® ultra clear modern brackets are also designed for minimal visual impact on your smile. Shaped out of actual crystal sapphires, they won’t distort the natural color of your teeth and are incredibly strong.
Galleria of Smiles also offers traditional metal braces, or we can apply lingual braces on the backside of your teeth.
Phase I & Phase II Orthodontics
If you and your family are already patients of Galleria of Smiles, Dr. M. Emami or Dr. Justin Emami can let you know if and when you should be considering orthodontic treatment for your child. If you are not a current patient, you should bring your child in for his or her first orthodontic visit around the age of 4. Early orthodontic treatment is called Phase I.
In this early phase, your child’s teeth will still be erupting, which makes it easier for us to correct the alignment of their teeth and address any possible problems with their bite. Usually, there is a break to allow most of your child’s permanent teeth to erupt before moving into Phase II orthodontics with braces or Invisalign.
What To Expect At Your First Orthodontic Appointment
First, your dentist will examine your mouth and take X-rays and dental impressions. Your dentist will then go over the best choices for improving your smile, and once decided, create your treatment plan for a better, more appealing smile through orthodontics. You could also pair your orthodontic treatment with teeth whitening for a bright, straight smile.
