Dental implants. Many people think that this is something that's new, that has just kind of come around. But actually, dental implants have been used for so, so long, for actually over a century we've been using them. We've found a lot of different things in the past that we've been using, and we have just really now, this generation have been using them more than ever. We have found that the success of dental implants has made things very, very possible for us, without grinding down on our teeth, without cutting other teeth, and removing other teeth. We've found that dental implants have done a wonderful thing for many different patients.
A lot of patients come to us in different situations. Whether they have a single missing tooth, they have a broken tooth, many people come to us concerned. “What are we going to do? What is the plan? How can you fix this?“ And of course, one is dental implants. We make an evaluation. We actually use 3D technology, so that we're able to assess the bone itself. Of course, bone is a very, very important thing. Bone and gums, making sure it looks natural, it functions like a natural tooth.
We make that full evaluation, no matter what the circumstance is for this missing tooth. We make sure that we set a plan that we're able to place a dental implant. Whether it's under IV sedation, or just numbing medicines, and we set that plan up, and then we achieve that goal. We are able to do so many different things now with technology.
We're able to pull teeth, place implants, we're able to place teeth same day. And so many patients are so grateful, the fact that they don't have to go without a missing tooth, because just like myself. If I were to break a tooth, or one of my front teeth go missing, all of the sudden because of an accident, because of some reason beyond my control, I know that I would want something immediately.
So every single person comes in, and one of the biggest concerns is, “Justin, am I going to have to go without my front tooth? Justin, am I going to have to go without a tooth, because that's embarrassing?“ That's a big concern, and so what we've been able to create here is different options to each patient, depending upon which one they're looking for. Patients who have the greatest aesthetic, cosmetic concerns, or patients who just want to make sure that there's something there.
We have so many different options to make sure that while an implant is healing, while we're waiting for complete healing to take place, that we have something as a tooth replacement, so that you're not having to walk around with a missing gap in your mouth for any extended period of time. So we've been able to achieve that, and dental implants have been one that our technology is growing, the capabilities of what we're able to do for patients is growing, and implants has been one of those.
We've been able to place dental implants and use them just like natural teeth, make them look just like natural teeth, and the thing that we do best here is also making sure that they look amazing. Whenever it comes to the front of the mouth, you don't want anyone to notice that you have had anything done, so you want to make sure it looks good. And that's one thing that we pride ourselves on, is creating a customized plan to make sure that it looks natural, it functions natural, and that's the goal that we want to achieve. Not just for today, not just for tomorrow, but for many years to come.
When you lose your teeth, your smile isn’t the only thing you have to worry about. Dental implants are the only tooth replacement option that can also stop the bone and gum loss that follows tooth loss, which can lead to:
- Difficulties chewing
- Trouble speaking
- Cheeks that sink in
- Saggy skin around your jawline
This doesn’t have to happen to you. If you are looking for a full-mouth smile or other tooth replacement options, we can help. The Galleria of Smiles dental offices provide expert implant placement and restoration to the communities of Tulsa, OK and Sand Springs, OK.Implant supported dentures Read Transcript
One really big procedure that we do here is actually involving dentures. We have a lot of patients who their dentures are falling out. They've always not like the look of their dentures. They've always wanted something that looks more natural and it's locked down. They're not afraid when they're talking or when they're eating that the denture is just going to pop out of their mouth, hit someone on the head or be embarrassed of the fact that it came out.
We actually use dental implants to make sure that we can lock down these dentures. There's a ton of different options that we have available here. Every option is of course based off of the goal for the patient whether it is chewing, whether it is functioning, whether it is cosmetic. We're able to take that goal that the patient has and put that as our primary goal that we're trying to achieve with the plan that we set up. Using dental implants, we've been able to get patients back to fix teeth. We've been able to lock down dentures. We've been able to do so many different things to makes that whatever that patient wants, they're able to achieve it.
Of course, with wonderful options such as IV sedation, we've been able to do so many more of these procedures in a lot less time with patients also having to spend a lot less time in the chair, a lot less dental visits. We do have a lot of patients who even travel from very, very far aways to come in to receive same day work where they're able to come in with their issues and then we set them up with a plan and then we're able to the same day of the surgery make sure that they leave with teeth.
So many of these different plans based off of every single individual come in, we've been able to take care of so many different people. Dentures are no longer the end of the road for the patients. It's actually just the beginning and we're able to get them back to those natural, beautiful teeth they once had whenever they were kids, whenever they were teenagers. We're able to provide them not just with a beautiful look, a beautiful smile, the teeth that function, that are amazing. Whenever it comes to their eating abilities, their talking abilities, we've been able to achieve whatever goal that that individual has whether it's big or small. It's possible at Galleria of Smiles and we have a plan for you.
