We assume that you do not want gum disease. With that in mind, how often do you floss?
The American Dental Association recommends flossing daily (in addition to brushing your teeth twice a day). A recent survey revealed that only 4 in 10 Americans say they floss every day, and 2 in 10 say they never floss.
For what it’s worth, roughly 1 in four people admitted to lying to the dentists about how often they floss.
The team at our dentist office in Tulsa, OK, wants your mouth to be as healthy as possible. To help, we’ve embedded a short video by the ADA to demonstrate the correct flossing technique for removing plaque and food particles from between your teeth and gums.
We also hope you visit Galleria of Smiles for routine dental cleanings and exams. This gives us a chance to remove plaque and tartar, which can lead to gum disease and to look for gum disease so you can get treatment more quickly.
